چکیده

Abstract: Porous concrete for low-impact development has long been studied the improvement of urban stormwater management. However, porous made using Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) is still lacking, particularly concerning its strength and infiltration rates. Therefore, this paper aimed to design RCA with optimum rate without compromising strength. To fulfill aim, a laboratory study evaluating characteristics mix presented. From mixed 1: 0.4: 3.6 (Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC): natural sand: coarse aggregate), Natural Coarse (NCA) partially replaced by in interval 0%, 15%, 30%, 45% find The 10 mm aggregate used as it was recorded highest compressive after curing 28 days. With increase addition RCA, decreases whereas increases. comparative strength, 30% replacement NCA ratio 1:0.4:1.08:2.52 (cement: fine aggregate: RCA: NCA) found give most satisfactory result 9737 mm/hr 8.67 MPa respectively. water quality test conducted evaluate whether detention system can reduce pollutants from surface run-off. pH acidity parameters are considered check stormwater. Stormwater infiltrating through prototype becomes basic nature.

Drying shrinkage of concrete made from recycled concrete aggregate

Recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) are used in new concrete mixes, termed recycled aggregate concrete (RAC). Among losses in most fresh and hardened properties, literature reports that RAC suffers increased levels of drying shrinkage compared to equivalent mixes incorporating conventional aggregates. This paper describes the procedure and results of a range of experiments conducted on a commerc...

Performance of High-strength Concrete Made with Recycled Ceramic Aggregates

Recent scientific concerns to achieve sustainability in construction have suggested the implementation of using recycled aggregate in concrete because it has the potential to reduce the demand for extraction of natural raw materials and decrease the volume of wastes landfilled. In this respect, this study aims to investigate the suitability of using ceramic tile (CT) and ceramic sanitary (CS) w...

Assessing relationships among properties of demolished concrete, recycled aggregate and recycled aggregate concrete using regression analysis.

Recycled demolished concrete (DC) as recycled aggregate (RA) and recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) is generally suitable for most construction applications. Low-grade applications, including sub-base and roadwork, have been implemented in many countries; however, higher-grade activities are rarely considered. This paper examines relationships among DC characteristics, properties of their RA and...

Reactivity in Recycled Concrete Aggregate

Full scale tests with crushed concrete used in sub-bases in roads show that the material has capacity to reharden, very slowly but also after prolonged periods of time. The rehardening process in crushed concrete aggregate has been analysed with a thermogravimetric method, comparing the change in chemical composition in the aggregate when set with water, compacted and hardened. It has been show...

Performance of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate

In 1995, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began reconstruction in Houston on a section of IH-10 with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP). The unique aspect of this project was the use of crushed concrete as both coarse and fine aggregates in the new concrete. No virgin aggregates were used. The primary objectives of this study were to evaluate (1) the material propert...
